Customization Upgrade
The Super User feature of the Virtual Safety Manager (VSM) allows a site administrator access to the safety programs of several of a company’s physical locations. This feature makes if possible for designated persons to manage the safety programs of several different locations from his/her office.
Thanks to a recent upgrade, the same concept has now been applied to Managers and Supervisors.
Certain privileges are assigned to each employee in the system. The figure below is available when a new employee is added or when information on a current employee is edited.
Note the Security Position section at the bottom and the options available. Simply choosing a security position makes certain VSM files available to the user.

Standard User: This is the lowest level of access. The user only has access to his/her records.
Supervisor: If this option is checked, the user will have access to training information for all the employees working in the area he/she supervises.
Manager: Checking this option gives the user access to several areas. There could be several groups for which he/she is responsible and therefore several groups this type of user can access in VSM.
Site Administrator: A site administrator can control all VSM information entered for the company for which he/she works. A site administrator has access to all Standard Users, Supervisors and Managers.
This new concept gives VSM greater flexibility in managing a safety program and is one more enhancement that makes VSM unique as an online safety program manager. For more information or to participate in an online webinar, contact a VSM representative at 866-613-7190.
